Carlos Molina
His ability to provide the resources and the reassurance that Hispanic borrowers need to feel comfortable with the complicated process of securing a loan has helped Carlos develop a large and loyal customer base. As the head of the company's Emerging Markets Division, he and his staff of loan officers--all of whom are bilingual--conduct seminars in Spanish and also do whatever it takes to help borrowers from other underserved communities establish credit and move step by step through the lending process. The remarkable growth of that division, which now represents a significant percentage of Mason Dixon Funding's total loan volume, reflects his own success. Carlos has been a member of the President's Club for five consecutive years and consistently ranks among the company's top loan officers.
Born in Guatemala City, he came to this country speaking no English and with only blue collar job opportunities. After attending Montgomery College, he worked for 10 years as a branch manager at Citizens Savings Bank before joining Mason Dixon Funding in 1998. He and his family live in Silver Spring, Md.
