Jay Kumar
A commitment to excellence--supported by the ability to earn the trust of his clients and provide the "right" solution to their particular needs--is a big part of how Jay has transitioned so smoothly from the industrial sector to the financial field. Before beginning his career at Mason Dixon Funding, he spent 11 years as a project engineer, most recently at Ericsson Inc, where he developed the analytical and client service skills that he puts to such good use in satisfying the needs of his borrowers. Working with first-time homebuyers to purchase their “dream home” and developing debt consolidation plans are just two areas of expertise he brings to his position as a Senior Loan Originator.
Born in Madison, Wis., Jay spent most of his childhood years in Laurinburg, N.C. before going on to earn his Bachelors Degree in Business and Engineering from North Carolina State University. He now makes his home in Lynchburg, Va., where he has become an active member
of the Lynchburg Association of Realtors. He also does more than his share to help others, volunteering for The Salvation Army and conducting financial counseling workshops for business, community and church groups.
