Born in Iran, Farrah and her family came to the United States in 1981 and initially lived in California.  She attended the University of California at Northridge, graduating in 1985 with a degree in Business.  A longtime resident of Montgomery County, she is an avid traveler and a physical fitness buff who always finds a way to fit a workout into her hectic schedule.
