Michael Fortenberry
There’s no better example of a "local boy making good"--and continuing to build on his already impressive career accomplishments. Mike has spent more than 20 years in the mortgage-banking business, beginning at AmSouth Mortgage in Birmingham where he moved quickly through the management ranks from supervisor to senior underwriter to branch manager. He then followed his entrepreneurial spirit, opening his own brokerage firm and simultaneously serving as co-owner of a title company before deciding to team up with Mason Dixon and open an office in the friendly and familiar surroundings of the Mobile Bay Area. He brought with him the philosophy of "treating his customers like family" that helps him provide the very highest quality of client service to each and every borrower.
Alabama is both "where" and "who" Mike is, having been born in Huntsville, lived in Birmingham, attended the University of Alabama-Birmingham and moved nine years ago to Fairhope where he still makes his home. He is an active member of the Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce and among his favorite recreational activities is coaching his daughter’s youth softball team.
